    7 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing, Machame route
  1. Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp

    Elevation: 1,800m to 3000m

    After breakfast depart to Kilimanjaro National Park at Machame Gate which is located on the lower slopes of the mountain. The trekking start at the gate, walking through the rain forest on a winding trail up a ridge to reach The Machame camp for dinner and overnight.
  2. Day 2: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

    Elevation: 3,000m to 3,800m

    After breakfast start hiking passing the rain forest and steep rocky ridge, covered with heather, until the ridge ends to reach Shira camp for dinner and overnight.
  3. Day 3: Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp

    Elevation: 3,800m to 3,900m

    After breakfast cross the Shira Plateau and continue to the east up a ridge, passing the lava tower. Then start to descend down to Barranco Hut for dinner and overnight.
  4. Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

    Elevation: 3,800m to 4,050m

    After breakfast depart from Barranco Hut and hike the steep Barranco Wall to reach the Karanga Valley Camp for dinner and overnight.span>
  5. Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

    Elevation: 4,050m to 4,600m

    After breakfast leave Karanga and proceed to Barafu Hut. Upon arrival to Barafu Hut get enough time to enjoy and rest for the midnight summit to uhuru peak.
  6. Day 6: Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Hut

    Elevation: 4,600m to 5895m (and down to 3,000m)

    At midnight start hiking to reach the uhuru peak. This part is among the challenging to reach to the summit. Upon reaching to Stella Point have a short rest while enjoying the sunrise. Then continue to the highest point of the mountain the Uhuru peak. Enjoy taking enough photos to the peak before descending down to the Barrafu camp for morning breakfast.

    Then after breakfast rest for a while before descending down to Mweka Camp for dinner and overnight.
  7. Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate then Arusha / Moshi

    Elevation: 3,000m to 1,800m

    After breakfast descent down to Mweka Park Gate and here you can receive the summit certificates. Then after followed by transfer to Arusha or Moshi.
