Ruara National Park
It was established in 1964 before it was a game reserve.
It’s the largest national park in Tanzania with an area of (21000sqkm) in the region of Iringa, Dodoma & Mbeya.
There are over 360 bird species recorded and different species of animals can be seen in the park including
Greater and lesser Kudus, Roan and Sable antelopes, Elephants, Buffalos etc
The Great Ruaha river offers the major attractions especially during the dry season.
During this season the area attracts numerous number of animals like Giraffes, Elands, Warthogs & others
In the plains, the plain dwellers and birds can be seen including Baobab trees and Miombo woodland which Are also attractive features of the park.
Best Time to visit the park is during the dry season between May and November.
